corn pictures at last

We offered. They countered. We countered. We wait. We are 4K apart now so hopefully this will all be resolved soon. Update - it is 1.12 acres not 1.19. oh well.

Now for your viewg pleaseure. Something that has been missing from this site for far to long.

CORN!!!!!!

Apparently the main way to tell feed corn from table corn is that they leave feed corn out until it is all dried up then they use the whole plant to feed livestock. In feed lots where the critters can't even hardly move and aren't even designed to eat grain so they are pumped full of antibiotics so they wont get sick and then are killed and then we eat them. So healthy. Have I mentioned I am thinking of buying grassfed meat going forward. Anywhoo the corn is still kinda pretty.

And more corn

More corn

And so it begins

We have put a bid in on a house. It is the house we originally looked at last Octber. We have spent the last 4 months trying to find something better for us and have now decided that there just isn't anything better. At least we will know we didn't just buy the first thing we looked at. Altho it would have saved us a lot of trouble.

The house is in the country with a treed lot. it is 720 sq feet and was buiult in 1951. It is on 1.19 acres.

720 sq feet and 1 bathroom. wish us luck there.

It is trashed of course but solid. And we can afford it and afford to fix it up. We will be able to avoid a mortgage which has been one of our main goals.

I ordered a subscription to mother earth news this morning.

If all goes well we will close by the end of September.

Expect ALOT of pictures.

Tom's not really all that part time

Hello,

I bought a whole new wardrobe. With my special clothing allowance from work. Thank God the sales lady helped. Tommy and I are hopeless. He had me in church dresses and I just wanted to buy jeans which are not allowed. Because of the lovely woman and dress barn I now have actually cute clothes. Woo Hoo.

Tom is only supposed to get about 30 hours a week. He got 11.5 on Monday and its looking like 12 for today. There is apparently a lot of poo that needs to be picked up around here.

We have now been married for 21 years. Our marriage can go into a bar and order a drink.

For our celebratory anniversary supper we tried out a new to us restaurant. And it sucked balls! I had a personal sized white pizza that was covered in RAW garlic. Now even a avowed garlic lover like myself has to say whoa doggy to that. I still tasted garlic when I woke up this morning.

Still no house. Nope nothing nada. and depression sets in.

Wow it has been over a week

Bad blogger bad!

The reason for no posts? Nothing I can write about without getting Dooced has been happening.

Now I have something to say! Tommy got his CDL class B, with a tanker endorsement, learners permit yesterday!!!! It was a Challenger because he had to study the most boring book ever and stay awake - but he did it. He gets a gold star!

One thing I know my Texas friends will be jealous of is the weather. Low eighties all the time. I have to put a jacket on at night when I walk the decrepit canine. Of course all the locals say this is unusual for this time of year but I am not complaining.

Our realtor has been on vacay and should be back in touch Friday so hopefully I will be blogging about out new house soon. The house that hasnn't been found yet.

Now send me some money Light up the Night. Actually the money is not for me of course it is for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
